Monstaville Book II. Chapter 27

“Whenever, in your life, you meet with a hardship, take it as a boon from the Divine’s Grace and it will become so.”
- The Mother (Seeds of Light).

Heath Ledger, when asked how he wants to live his life, replied: “Try to be patient and understanding.”

“The gang preyed on the vulnerable, at first targeting people within their own Turkish community before widening their campaign of attacks across North London.” (Three men aged between 23 and 26 thought they were ‘untouchable.’ From a London newspaper).

Yes, bullying causes open or suppressed anger and starts wars. A 21-year-old South Korean private who suffered bullying took revenge by hurling a grenade among sleeping troops before opening fire on them with his rifle killing eight soldiers. (News clip in Metro).

Denke nicht an die Menschen, die du nicht magst, so vergeudest du deine Zeit means 'Don't think about people you don't like, thus [that way] you waste your time.'

“Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself.” - Oscar Wilde.

Pearls of Wisdom by Harry Millner (Clarion, Surrey, U.K., 2004).

p.13. ‘Don’t call an alligator big-mouth until you have passed him.’ (A Jamaican saying).

p.37. Some have been thought brave because they had not the courage to run away.

p.37. Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will.

p.38. It is better to face the danger once than always live in fear.

p.38. A hero is no braver than an ordinary person - but is braver for just a little longer.

p.38. ‘He’s a hero because he is brave enough to be a coward.’ (Joseph Heller’s Catch 22).

p.225. Try to be reasonable and it will be taken for weakness.

“We’ve got to earn their respect, and the only way to do that is to hurt them.” (Seconds To Spare, directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, 2002).

This is the typical attitude of a bully. They are lazy and undisciplined and they are unwilling to invest any effort into developing and improving themselves. They remain rooted in the unconscious and fall victim to the negative demons that lie therein.

Those attempting to defend themselves might also adopt this position. The difference is that they don’t need others’ respect. They are dealing with people for whom status is an issue. The bully behaves violently, manipulatively and hurtfully because he or she craves ‘respect’ - by which he or she seeks protection for themselves in order to avoid suffering themselves, to avoid all potential threats out there (which are likely to be spawning all the time like a hydra-headed monster through the projection of these inner demons). If you avoid confronting your inner demons and simply allow them to walk all over you they will make your life chaos so you need some form of protection plan, such as playing on others’ fears. And then the demons will relish that source of evil amusement and psychic energy-sucking (‘evil’ is the reverse of ‘live’). ‘Attack is the best means of defence.’ Insecurity as a habitual way of life, a cycle and a chain that is hard to break...but the weakness will lead to so much chaos and strife that it should eventually lead to greater strength. The soul is evolving. It receives many opportunities to grow.

"No evil propensity of the human heart is so powerful that it may not be subdued by discipline." - Seneca.

The classic case of the Oedipus complex:

“...the desire of the son to kill the father in order to obtain undisputed possession of the mother. This complex is not, however, something over which the child has any control.” (Sigmund Freud, Introducing Sartre by Philip Thody and Howard Read, Icon Books 2000, Cambridge, U.K., p.76). So he bullies other men in order to have power over them for the same reason, to protect his soul and impress his lover?

Tao Paths: Good Fortune by Solala Towler (MQ Publications Limited, London, U.K., 2002).

p.140-141. The ancient masters have taught us that joy often follows suffering, that sometimes joy is even given birth from our suffering. If we learn to deal with the inevitable suffering with grace, patience and insight we can turn that suffering into a kind of joy. It is not required that we learn to enjoy our suffering or that we become some sort of masochistic martyr. What we are talking about here is a kind of active acceptance of suffering as a natural, unavoidable part of life.

The ancient masters were subtle and profound.
They were so deep they cannot be known.
Since they cannot be known, we must try to describe them.

They were cautious, like someone crossing a river in winter.
They were vigilant, like someone surrounded by enemies.
They were dignified, like honoured guests.
They were ephemeral, like melting ice.
They were simple, like an uncarved block of wood.
They were open, like a valley.
They were deep, like swirling water.

- Lao Tzu.

In listing the attributes of the ancient masters, Lao Tzu (or Laozi) is giving us a sort of map of how we can conduct ourselves in this confusing, chaotic and often challenging world.

p.144. Often, when we feel stuck and powerless about our situation, if, instead of racking our brains for a solution to change things, we simply stop and wait; things have a way of sorting themselves out. It takes patience and a special sort of courage to sit and breathe our way through a difficult time. But it can be done. By practising the Taoist principles of wu wei (not doing anything against the natural flow), of pu (being simple like an uncarved block of wood), being like water (which takes whatever shape it’s put in and flows downhill to the lowest places), and above all, the patience to sit and breathe and allow things to unfold in their own time, we can become like those ancient masters.

p.148. ‘Those who can keep to the Way fit in without making a show and stay forever hidden. Hence they don’t leave any tracks.’ - Wang Chen.

p.149. The time we live in now is also a time of sages and masters. In many ways, they are needed now more than ever before. But they are often humble and even invisible.

‘Connecting to Your Authentic Self’ (notes from a discourse by St. Germain channelled through Ashamarae McNamara, 26 June 2009, Violet Hill Studios, London).

·         When your energy is full you have peace. There is no fear.
·         Complaining, doubt, fear, etc., is your Inner Child wanting attention.
·         Raise your frequency and it will all come crashing down.
·         Five minutes of full attention to your Inner Child: ‘What is it you would like in this moment?’
·         Children celebrate: ‘Did you see how fast I ran?’
·         Characters need polishing. Choose that which you need more of, for example, to be kinder.
·         Self-indulgence is not self-love. Indulge in prayer, service with others. Commune with God. Indulge in these and the others will lose their hold on you.
·         Disconnect from Source and you will be challenged. You have called this forth.
·         ‘Sit down for five minutes please and everything will be better.’
·         Happy people say connect with Source daily. Have the intention and then be quiet.
·         The Inner Child will connect with Source. Life will become less challenging gracefully.
·         ‘I know I’m unhappy most of the time but I know what I’m doing.’

“Everyone has been given the same opportunity to lift their vibrations, and much of this is decided by your choice of life style. Some will not give up the lower vibrations, and are clearly unready for the changes required to overcome them. There is no judgement about such choices, as it is your life and you are entitled to experience it as you desire. With it as always comes responsibility for your actions, and anything that harms another will later be a lesson to be learnt. In these times it can rebound on you quite quickly, and that is to your advantage if you are intent on returning to the Light and ascending. Love is the key to all situations as you will eventually find out.
We notice there are more situations arising that are bringing about confrontations, both at a personal level and on a nationwide basis. This is a symptom of the times you are in, where energies that need clearing are surfacing so that they can be transmuted. It poses a question of how best to deal with it, and your power to do so lies with your ability to use your Light and you will then be successful. Nothing can withstand the powerful love energy, and as you have limitations whilst in a physical body it is an exercise in control and focus. Do you not hear of instant healing, and wonder how that can be when sometimes a malignant growth can be totalled changed by such energy. When we tell you that you are more powerful than you realise, it is a truth that you will soon understand. When you ascend it will increase tenfold, and you will rise up to such levels that people would think you a god.
It is what happened in your ancient times when the Anunnaki allowed the people to hold them in awe, because of their seeming ability to perform miracles. As you will realise not every advanced Being is necessarily spiritually advanced. It is possible for you to learn how to make an assessment of people through intuitive thinking, and feeling the energy they emit. However, some people can be very charming and deceitful at the same time. Life is one challenge after another, and this is why physical incarnations can speed up your evolution. To live on the Earth is in fact an attraction for that reason, and why you have returned time and time again. Now you have come to the end of your journey, and are set upon making good any karma you may have outstanding. To put it simply, it is rectifying your mistakes and learning the lessons that you choose to experience.
Think upon it Dear Ones, if you are to become Galactic Beings and serve others making their way along their spiritual path, you will have first had to prove yourself in the darkness of Earth and its lower energies. To rise up from it whilst you continually face adversity and so many distractions is an amazing accomplishment. Now we see the Light growing exponentially, and it is telling us that so many of you are now ready to ascend, and so shall the numbers rapidly increase as you enter the final period. There are so many higher souls excitedly waiting for the opportunity to accompany you through it. They bide their time, and wait for the chance to come into your dimension and meet you.”
- SaLuSa (channelled through Mike Quinsey, 6 August 2010,

“Without making the correlation between your thoughts and feelings, and the manifestations that are occurring,” says Abraham, “you have no conscious control of what happens in your experience.” (Manifest Your Desires by Esther and Jerry Hicks, Hay House, Inc., Carlsbad, CA.,U.S., 2008, p.198). Feeling good is not the issue, they explain. All that matters is consciously finding relief, however small, which has resulted from deliberate effort that we have offered because this is the way in which we regain control of our experience. (Ibid. p.205).

"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." – e.e. cummings.
