Modesty Blaise

'The world's deadliest female agent'

"Modesty Blaise is a [camp] comedic spy-fi DeLuxe Color film produced in the United Kingdom and released worldwide in 1966. It was loosely based upon the popular comic strip Modesty Blaise by Peter O'Donnell, who wrote the original story and scenario upon which Evan Jones based his screenplay. The film was directed by Joseph Losey...Modesty Blaise stars Italian actress Monica Vitti, Terence Stamp, Dirk Bogarde, Harry Andrews, Michael Craig and Clive Revill. It is Monica Vitti's first English-speaking role.

British Secret Service chief Sir Gerald Tarrant (Harry Andrews) recruits spy Modesty Blaise (Monica Vitti) to protect a shipment of diamonds to a Middle Eastern sheik, Abu Tahir (Clive Revill). The shipment has also attracted Gabriel (Dirk Bogarde), the head of a diamond theft ring that includes his henchman McWhirter (Clive Revill) and Mrs. Fothergill (Rossella Falk). Modesty thinks that Gabriel, who maintains a compound in the Mediterranean, has died, but he reveals himself to her. In Amsterdam, Modesty reunites with her former lover, secret agent Paul Hagen (Michael Craig), while her partner, Willie Garvin (Terence Stamp), is reunited with an old flame, Nicole (Tina Aumont). Nicole is killed by an assassin working for Gabriel. With Modesty and Willie on the run, they decide to steal the diamonds for themselves but Gabriel captures Modesty and forces Willie to steal the diamonds. Modesty and Willie escape, killing Mrs. Fothergill, and giving the shipment of diamonds to Abu Tahir. As her reward, Modesty asks for and receives the diamonds." (Wikipedia).

Love is a Fire

Just A Car Crash Away - Marilyn Manson, 2007

She blew me her death-kiss
And the mouth-marks
Bled down my eye,
Like her dying
On my windshield.
I can already feel
Her worms
Eating my spine.
So how can it be this lonely?
Is this all we get
For our lives?
Is love only sweeter when
One of dies?

Then I knew that our love was
Just a car crash away.
I knew that our love was just a car crash away.
I knew that our love was
Just a car crash away.
I knew that our love was
Just a car crash away.

Love is a fire.
Burns down all that it sees.
Burns down everything.
Everything you think
Will burn
Everything you say.

Love is a fire.
Burns down all that it sees.
Burns down everything.
Everything you think
Will burn
Everything you say.

I knew that our love was
Just a car crash away.
Knew that our love was
Just a car crash away.
Just a car crash away.

[backup vocals]
I knew that our love was
Just a
Car
Crash
Away.

I knew that our love was
Just a
Car
Crash
Away.

[repeat to end of solo]

Love is a fire.
Burns down all that it sees.
Burns down everything.
Everything you think
Will burn
Everything you say.

Love is a fire.
Burns down all that it sees.
Burns down everything.
Everything you think
Will burn
Everything you say.

Taranch, as she was affectionately known to her fans, was played by Suzanne Waldron. Graveyard Rock was the flipside of Taranch's single released on Meadows Records. The song was written by B. Anson and J. Ralston. John Ralston was Suzanne's producer-writer for House of Horror. The A-side was 'King Kong.'

Kiss Kiss. Kill Kill

Kiss Kiss, Kill Kill is a 1965 German-Italian-Yugoslavian international co-production Eurospy film written and directed by Gianfranco Parolini who also wrote lyrics for the Joe Walker Theme. The film stars Tony Kendall as Jo Louis Walker / 'Kommissar X' and Brad Harris as Capt. Tom Rowland. Plus Maria Perschy as Joan Smith.

This is the first 'Kommissar X' movie. Based on a popular series of German adventure novels, the Kommissar X films sprang up in Germany as competition to the popular exploits of James Bond. Private eye Joe Walker (so cool and egotistical that he has his own personal theme song!) and police captain Tom Rowland must find out who's killing off a group of influential businessmen. The reason? A fortune in gold made radioactive so it couldn't be claimed for five years... but now someone can't wait! They soon face off against a team of super hit women with their usual flair.
